RESORT OF HORTO - PELION PENINSULA
The traditional coastal village of Horto, is situated on the west side of the Pelion Peninsula, overlooking the beautiful Pagasitic Gulf. Horto is just 46km from the city of Volos, and is very easy to reach, as you travel along the coast.
The sea waters here are perfect, and offer a perfect place for a refreshing swim during the hot summer months.
There are also several other beaches within easy reach of Horto, such as that of Milina, which is just 3km away.
Horto brings together a perfect blend of relaxation and harmony, and the imagery of the green plants and groves, leading all the way down to the blue waters of the Pagasitic Gulf are enchanting.
For those who may be interested, there is the museum of Aggelimis in the village, where you can go and see the exhibits of old and traditional precious objects, such as books, tools and relics. It is a very interesting visit should you have the opportunity.
The neighbouring village of Milina is also one with great charm and beauty, and is well worth a visit.

It is also a peaceful and relaxing village, with beautiful scenery. Just outside of Milina are the ruins of the ancient city of Olizon. There are also several churches which are well worth visiting, as is the monastery of "Agii Saranda", which is actually situated on the nearby island of Alatas.
For those of you who will stay at the Leda Complex, you will be perfectly located from which to venture out and start exploring the neighbouring areas of Horto. Pelion is such an amazing region of Greece, with such picturesque and beautiful scenes and images, that it truly needs to be explored in order to be fully appreciated.
